Pacific Lutheran University Department of Music
The Pacific Lutheran University Department of Music is a nationally-recognized center for musical education and performance. A talented, cohesive faculty of performers, composers and authors, drawn from the nation’s finest conservatories and universities, work to develop the whole person in the context of a caring academic community of outstanding students and enthusiastic audiences. The Department of Music offers more than 250 music artistic achievement awards each year to incoming students seeking to develop their skills alongside some of the most talented student-musicians and faculty members in the Pacific Northwest. You do not need to be a music major to receive a music artistic achievement award; awards are offered regardless of major. Music Artistic Achievement Awards and limited endowed scholarships are offered in renewable amounts ranging up to $7,500 per year and are in addition to academic merit awards.

UC Berkeley Department of Music
The UC Berkeley Department of Music consists of an instructional program with roughly 160 majors and 65 graduate students taught by 20 full-time faculty, a roster of distinguished Bay Area artists offering individual musical instruction, a staff of 8 professional, personable individuals, four buildings, the Jean Gray Hargrove Music Library, the Center for New Music and Audio Technology and numerous other resources. Mannes School of Music
Mannes is a unique place, one where you will find the flexibility and freedom to direct your development as a singer. Get rigorous classical training from a faculty of renowned and revolutionary performers, who will also help you find your place in the landscape of contemporary music found in New York City.
You’ll receive highly focused technical training in weekly private voice lessons, as well as opera coachings, language and diction classes, and vocal repertory electives such as American, Spanish and Russian Art Song, German lieder, French chanson and the Italian aria. You’ll also benefit from master classes with visiting artists and music professionals, supporting you as you polish your technique and make essential career connections.
Our voice faculty includes a preeminent collection of musicians. Miami University
The Department of Music provides professional training in music within the context of a liberal education at a major university. Our focus is undergraduate teaching, and the vast majority of music courses are taught by members of the faculty.The Department of Music enrolls about 200 undergraduate majors and about 25 graduate students. A summer-only master’s program in Music Education attracts many other students to campus each year.

University of Nevada, Las Vegas
The Vocal Division of UNLV School of Music prepares vocal students to begin a professional career in performance or music education. Its degree in vocal performance also provides thorough preparation for further study in music at the graduate levels. The School of Music offers an excellent professional and liberal arts education to students pursuing a career in music performance, history and literature, music education, conducting, music theory, Orff Schulwerk, composition, or jazz studies. UNLV graduates continue to be accepted at all major conservatories and universities throughout the world and are currently performing in opera houses, concert halls, Broadway shows, and other popular genres nationally and internationally.
University of Minnesota

The University of Minnesota School of Music is home to the Vocal Arts Division, which mentors undergraduate and graduate voice students. Our comprehensive program offers undergraduate Bachelor of Music degrees in Voice Performance, Music Education, and Music Therapy. In addition, the more academically-focused Bachelor of Arts degree was recently added. Graduate programs include Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees. Approximately 35 graduate students and 40 undergraduate students study voice in the Vocal Arts Division. The singing students participate in a wide variety of opportunities, including a choice of singing in one of five choirs and an intensive introduction to performing on stage in our opera workshop offerings. More advanced students are cast in our Opera Theatre—mounting one fully-staged and costumed opera with orchestra each semester. Students study in a supportive, yet challenging atmosphere that promotes vocal, musical, and personal growth.
