Calling all undergradUate singers!

Schmidt Vocal Arts is excited to once again offer an online competition for undergraduate singers: The Schmidt Vocal Competition Undergraduate Awards. This online competition will be held in December 2022-February 2023, culminating in an online master class and live-streamed awards ceremony on February 11, 2023.

SVC Undergraduate Awards will feature two divisions: Upper and Lower Divisions. The UPPER DIVISION will include singers in their 5th-8th semester of vocal study at the undergraduate level. This division will feature FOUR WINNERS, each with a $5,000 cash award! Finalists will be awarded $650 and Encouragement Award Winners will receive $300.

The LOWER DIVISION will include singers in their 1st-4th semester of vocal study at the undergraduate level. This division will feature FOUR WINNERS, each with a $3,000 cash award! Finalists will be awarded $500 and Encouragement Award Winners will receive $250.

Please read the deadlines and rules carefully. Apply as soon as you can after the applications open on November 1 at noon EST. The first round is open on a first come, first served basis!
