Calling all undergradUate singers!
Schmidt Vocal Arts proudly presents the Schmidt Vocal Competition Undergraduate Awards, a distinguished online competition celebrating the next generation of vocal talent. This year’s event will take place December 2025 – February 2026, culminating in an online panel discussion/Q&A and a live-streamed awards ceremony.
SVC Undergraduate Awards features two divisions: Upper and Lower Divisions. The Upper Division will include singers in their 5th-8th semester of vocal study at the undergraduate level. This division will feature Four Winners, each with a $5,000 cash award! Finalists will be awarded $700 and Encouragement Award Winners will receive $350.
The Lower Division will include singers in their 1st-4th semester of vocal study at the undergraduate level. This division will also feature FOUR WINNERS, each with a $5,000 cash award! Finalists will be awarded $700 and Encouragement Award Winners will receive $350.
Participation in the Undergraduate Competition also unlocks access to Schmidt Vocal Arts professional development opportunities, grants, and educational programs for alumni, helping singers take the next step in their careers.
This is more than a competition—it’s a chance to connect with a national community of singers, gain visibility, and advance your vocal journey.
Applications open November 3 at noon EST. Be sure to review the rules and deadlines carefully. The first round is first come, first served, so secure your spot early!
