Calling all undergradUate singers!
Schmidt Vocal Arts is excited to once again offer an online competition for undergraduate singers: The Schmidt Vocal Competition Undergraduate Awards. This online competition will be held in December 2024-February 2025, culminating in an online panel discussion/Q&A and live-streamed awards ceremony.
SVC Undergraduate Awards will feature two divisions: Upper and Lower Divisions. The UPPER DIVISION will include singers in their 5th-8th semester of vocal study at the undergraduate level. This division will feature FOUR WINNERS, each with a $5,000 cash award! Finalists will be awarded $700 and Encouragement Award Winners will receive $350.
The LOWER DIVISION will include singers in their 1st-4th semester of vocal study at the undergraduate level. This division will also feature FOUR WINNERS, each with a $5,000 cash award! Finalists will be awarded $700 and Encouragement Award Winners will receive $350.
Please read the deadlines and rules carefully. Apply as soon as you can after the applications open on November 1 at noon EST. The first round is open on a first come, first served basis!
