Innovative voice pedagogue, master lecturer, and biomechanics expert Taylor Stilson (LMT-MA, NASM-CPT, MM) holds positions as assistant professor of musical theater voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and adjunct faculty of voice positions at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and the Harvard University Holden Voice Program. He held an eight-year adjunct position of Applied Music in Voice at Brown University. He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate students in musical theater, opera, and vocal pedagogy.

Mr. Stilson has crafted a unique career as a voice instructor and is trailblazing a new paradigm of mind-body voice pedagogy. He is the founder of The Stilson Institute, a first in the world dedicated solely to holistic voice modalities. At the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the institute is a complete voice, body, and mind experience. Course offerings for The Institute include acoustic strategies and resonance flexibility masterclasses, Alexander Technique, CBT strategies for singing, Fitzmaurice Voicework, functional and core movement strategies, Integrative Health Coaching, KORU Mindfulness, medical perspectives of laryngological care, self- myofascial release for singers, Vocal Combat, vocal health and hygiene, and yoga.

Mr. Stilson holds certifications in massage therapy (LMT-MA), personal training (CPT-NASM), craniosacral therapy, myofascial release for throat, neck, and swallowing disorders, Ericksonian hypnosis, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) life coaching. As vocal pedagogue, Taylor has presented lectures and workshops on vocal anatomy, physiology, myofascial release, and specialized voice topics throughout the western hemisphere. Recent publications include “Hypnosis as a Supplemental Treatment for and Prevention of Muscle Tension Dysphonia” in the 2021 VASTA (Voice and Speech Training Association), an affiliate of Routledge/Taylor and Francis Group, and “Resiliency in the Era of Covid-19” in Boston Conservatory’s winter 2021 publication of STAGES.
