Schmidt Vocal Competition, here you come!
Remember, applications are due three weeks prior to the competition date. Space is limited to 30 contestants at each location, so apply early. Singers may only compete in one competition per academic year.
Be sure to read the Competition Rules before submitting your application.
HOW TO APPLY:
Please note that applying to compete is a multi-step process:
- Register for the event. In the SVA portal select your competition location, complete the registration form, and pay for the event. After registration, your spot in the competition is saved.
- Submit your repertoire. Navigate to your SVA profile page and select “Part 2: Schmidt Vocal Competition Application” from the tabs on the left. Please be prepared to include the key, title, composer, and work (if applicable) for each of the three (3) selections you would like to sing for the competition. Repertoire is due three weeks before the event.
- Upload the Consent Form. Use the “Upload Additional Files” tab to download, sign, and upload the required documents for participation.
