15+ Regional Vocal Competitions Nationwide

The Schmidt Vocal Competition gives aspiring high school singers the opportunity to perform, connect with other singers, and learn from educational master classes with some of the best in the business!

• Open to sophomore, junior, and senior high school singers
• Held annually in cohorts throughout the U.S. in partnership with regional colleges and universities
• Awards ceremony
• Master classes with renowned professionals
• Winners at each location receive cash awards plus scholarship opportunities
• Past participants have gone on to gain entrance into the world’s finest music schools
• Fall competitions will be offered in-person with strict Covid-19 protocols

NEW in 2021-22: The top three winners at each regional location will advance to the National Competition from June 3-5, 2022 in Sarasota, FL. Generous cash awards include $10,000 for first, $7,000 for second, and $5,000 for third. Travel stipends and free housing will be offered to singers who demonstrate financial need.
