American soprano Deanna Breiwick, praised by The New York Times for her “sweet sound and floating high notes” and recognized as a “vocal trapeze artist,” is celebrated for her vibrant and versatile career. In the 2024/25 season, Deanna will perform as Lisette in La Rondine at Opéra de Monte Carlo, Adele in Die Fledermaus at Opera Theatre of St. Louis, and join the Utah Symphony for Mozart’s Requiem as well as the Allentown Symphony for Vaughan-Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem. Additionally, she will present recitals with The Florentine Opera and the Pacific Vocal Series.

In the 2023/24 season, Deanna returned to The Dallas Opera for the world premiere of Gene Scheer and Jody Talbot’s The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, singing the role of Claude. She also appeared as Lisette in La Rondine with Washington Concert Opera, performed Messiah with the Oregon Symphony, and held a residency with the Moab Music Festival. The 2022/23 season marked her debut at San Francisco Opera as Sister Constance in Dialogues of the Carmelites, alongside returns to Bayerische Staatsoper and debuts at Gran Teatre del Liceu and Atlanta Opera.

Deanna has also enjoyed several seasons at Opernhaus Zürich, where her roles included Carolina in Il matrimonio segreto, Elisa in Il Re Pastore, Marzelline in Fidelio, and Madame Silberklang in Der Schauspieldirektor. She returned as a guest to perform roles such as Drusilla in L’incoronazione di Poppea and the title role in Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Coraline.

Deanna is a Metropolitan Opera National Council Grand Finalist and a native of Seattle, WA. Her orchestral highlights include performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Antonio Symphony, Seattle Symphony, The Pacific Chorale, and the Nuremburg Symphony Orchestra.
