Schmidt Vocal Competition: High School Nationals
May 30 – June 1, 2025
William E. Schmidt Opera Theatre | Sarasota, FL
Join us for an inspiring weekend showcasing top high school classical singers from across the country, each vying for awards and early-career recognition.
These remarkable young artists earned their place on the national stage through one of 16 regional competitions. Now, finalists perform for an esteemed panel of judges—including mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton, countertenor John Holiday, and the Metropolitan Opera’s Melissa Wegner—in the stunning William E. Schmidt Opera Theatre.
Whether you’re a classical voice fan, a supporter of young talent, or simply looking for an unforgettable performance experience, join us for art songs, arias, and a “first listen” to the voices that will shape the future of the art form.
Tickets are available through Sarasota Opera.
Who’s Competing?
