Schmidt Vocal Education – Workshop for Singers – Chicago

This FREE one-day workshop provides high school students the opportunity to learn from world-class artists and participate in sessions on body work, connecting with the text, and vocal technique. Singers will participate in studio and master classes with renowned faculty from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. In addition, participants will learn about opportunities to continue to their vocal education at the CCPA.

Joining us from the faculty of the CCPA are:

• Judith Haddon – Head of Voice Department, Soprano
• Elizabeth Byrne – Soprano
• Cynthia Clarey – Mezzo-soprano
• Mark Crayton – Countertenor
• Allan Glassman -Tenor

There is no cost to attend, but students must register, providing titles of two pieces of repertoire to perform either in a studio class or master class. Lunch will be provided for registered singers.
